netTerrain Excel Import
LIMITED
Wednesday October 14, 2026 9:00am - 12:00pm PDT
Limited Capacity seats available
This hands-on course teaches students how to transform existing spreadsheets into structured netTerrain data models using the platform's Excel Import capabilities. Attendees will learn how to build and validate import sheets for common network documentation objects including sites, buildings, floors, rooms, racks, devices, patch panels, ports, fiber infrastructure, and outside plant assets. The training covers parent-child relationships, hierarchy creation, object types, catalog mapping, custom attributes, geographic coordinates, and connectivity modeling, enabling organizations to rapidly populate a new netTerrain environment from existing inventory and operational data rather than creating assets manually. Real-world examples demonstrate how to import network inventories, facility information, GIS data, and connectivity records using proven import templates and best practices.

The course also explores advanced import techniques designed to improve data quality and accelerate deployment. Students will learn how to update existing records, import connectivity relationships, validate imported information, troubleshoot import errors, and analyze import logs to resolve issues efficiently. Additional topics include preparing source data, configuring catalog types, handling custom fields, and resolving common challenges such as missing parent objects, invalid coordinates, and attribute conflicts. Organizations using the latest AI-powered capabilities can also learn how AI-assisted Excel Import can analyze spreadsheets, generate import-ready structures, recommend hierarchy creation, and streamline data mapping prior to importing into netTerrain, significantly reducing the effort required to onboard large datasets.

netTerrain IPAM
LIMITED
Wednesday October 14, 2026 9:00am - 12:00pm PDT
Limited Capacity seats available
This hands-on IP Address Management (IPAM) training class teaches participants how to effectively manage, organize, and track IPv4 address space within netTerrain. Students will learn how to create network blocks and subnets, assign and link IP addresses to devices, manage address utilization, and maintain accurate network documentation. The course focuses on real-world IPAM workflows that help organizations improve visibility, simplify network operations, and support capacity planning and audit requirements.
Throughout the course, attendees will gain practical experience working with subnet creation, CIDR calculations, address allocation workflows, unassigned address management, device-to-IP associations, and utilization reporting. Students will also learn best practices for identifying duplicate or incorrect address assignments and maintaining a clean, accurate IP inventory.

netTerrain Advanced Features
LIMITED
Wednesday October 14, 2026 1:00pm - 5:00pm PDT
Limited Capacity seats available
This advanced course is designed for experienced netTerrain administrators, system owners, solution architects, and technical support personnel responsible for managing enterprise netTerrain deployments. The class provides an in-depth review of platform administration, advanced configuration options, security settings, authentication mechanisms, performance tuning, and operational best practices. Special emphasis is placed on the relationship between the Administration Console, global system settings, and the underlying application configuration components that govern system behavior and user experience.

Participants will take a deep dive into the Settings.xml file, learning how advanced system parameters influence authentication, security, notifications, usability, import/export controls, document management, performance, and application behavior. The course also covers user administration, role-based access control, Active Directory and SSO integration concepts, logging, troubleshooting, backup strategies, and governance practices required to operate netTerrain in production environments. Students will explore both administrator-managed settings and end-user personalization options, including language preferences, time zones, themes, security settings, two-factor authentication, and user tokens. Hands-on labs guide attendees through configuration changes, validation procedures, security scenarios, performance tuning exercises, and operational troubleshooting workflows.

netTerrain Outside Plant
LIMITED
Wednesday October 14, 2026 1:00pm - 5:00pm PDT
Limited Capacity seats available
This instructor-led training course teaches participants how to use the netTerrain Outside Plant (OSP) module to document, manage, and visualize fiber, conduit, pathway, and geographic network infrastructure. Students learn how to leverage GIS-based maps, georeferenced diagrams, fiber strand management, circuit routing, splice documentation, and route analysis to create a comprehensive digital model of their outside plant environment. The class combines best practices, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises to help organizations accurately document campus, utility, carrier, municipal, and enterprise fiber networks.

Participants will learn how to create and manage routes, handholes, manholes, ducts, conduits, fiber cables, splice enclosures, strands, and circuits while utilizing netTerrain's mapping and tracing capabilities. The course also covers GIS integration concepts, KML/KMZ imports, route analysis, capacity tracking, and reporting techniques used to support planning, troubleshooting, operations, and infrastructure expansion initiatives. By the end of the class, attendees will be able to build and maintain accurate outside plant documentation from physical infrastructure through end-to-end circuit connectivity.
